On behalf of the women of the Minnesota South District Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, WELCOME to the Minnesota South District LWML web page. We are pleased to have you join us.   

I am Nancy Kohrs, president of the Minnesota South District for the 2006-2010 term. It is indeed the Lord's calling to serve in this office, and I pray that He will take my best efforts and perfect them to His glory in the LWML.

The MNS District is composed of 9 conferences, 25 zones, 240 societies and an estimated membership of over 5,200. We gathered for our 21 st Biennial Convention in June 2006, with the theme “Seek Our Savior, Share Our Savior, Serve Our Savior”. Our ‘SOS' Mite Goal for the 2006-2008 biennium is $230,000 of which $57,500 will be sent to meet the national goal.

What a blessing it is to be in this office, serving with the talented and dedicated women I have come to know as sisters in Christ. Through them, the truth of Romans 1:12 NIV is modeled: “that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.”

As you can see as you browse through our pages, we are women working for the Lord. Our mission statement says it well: “The Mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in affirming her faith so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.” We serve the Lord with gladness, reaching out to women of all ages through mission education, mission inspiration and mission service.

I pray the Lord is leading you to our organization as an opportunity to grow in faith so that you too are enabled to use your gifts in ministry to His people.
