GIFTS OF LOVE
We are looking forward to meeting you in person at the 29th Minnesota South District LWML Convention in June! The Human Care Committee has chosen Team Renewed (formerly Crossing HOME) as the "Gifts from the Heart" recipient. Team Renewed along with Damascus Way and Freedom Works, is a Christian faith-based halfway house, helping those recently released from prison. They are supported through MNS District LCMS, with Jim Seemann as the Correctional Ministry Coordinator.
The "Gifts from the Heart" items we will be collecting and donating to Team Renewed are:
- Quilts (twin size)
- Pocket Bibles (New Testament NIV) Available from ChristianBook.com for as little as $2.00 to $3.00 each
- Gift cards from Target ($25 each)
- Complete Move-In Kits a pillow, a set of twin bed sheets and a pillowcase, a bath towel, and a washcloth. (Please tie with string or ribbon.)
If you order the bibles in bulk, they may be shipped directly to Jim Seeman at 1075 Burgess Street, Saint Paul, MN 55103. Please keep track of how many bibles you order. Send that count to Debi Mahoney at aerobic_debi@yahoo.com.
We look forward to seeing you at the convention, June 16-18, in Willmar, MN! Bring your Gifts from the Heart to Convention. You will find us in the convention center atrium!
Blessings!
