“Tell Everyone What He Has Done”

The Great Minnesota South Mission Get-Together
Mayer Lutheran High School

Convention Verse – Sing praises to the Lord; for He has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earthIsaiah 12:5

The Great Minnesota South Mission Get-Together Celebration event was a success with 172 in physical attendance and others attending by live stream. As you may remember, the Biennial Convention was canceled in June and the business of voting was done digitally: (1) the 2020-2022 Mite Goal was set $265,000, (2) the Mission Grants were selected, (3) the Bylaw Amendments passed, and (4) new officers were elected.

Rev William Utech was the proclaimer at the opening worship service with Molly Loder at the piano for hymns. The Celebration event included the Installation of officers as well as celebrating the full funding of the previous biennium’s mission grants.

Mission speakers were previous recipients of grant funds: Mayer Lutheran HS (Joel Landskroener), the Dwelling Place (outgoing Executive Director Linda Wiza and incoming Executive Director LeNae Williams), and Missionary Kayla Hoem. Jan Struck was the keynote speaker leading a Bible study.

Two offerings were collected totaling $2,984.25 which will benefit (1) the 2020-2022 mite goal, (2) divided between Phil’s Friends, Trinity First – Minneapolis, and Chance International. The 31 silent auction baskets sales totaled $3,357.36 for Mites.
