In March we have collected $18,451.71 for mites. This brings our total of mites collected in this biennium to $250,828.90. We still need $14,717.10 to be collected by April 25th for this biennium of 2018-2020.
Our daily lives have totally changed as we face the coronavirus pandemic. In some cases it’s turned lives upside down. It has left some feeling isolated and even hopeless. God loves us and will listen to us as we ask Him for help and guidance during this difficult time.
LWML Minnesota South District will continue to function as allowed. We still have a mite goal and we are getting so very close to reaching it and fulfilling our promise we made at the 2018 district convention to our mission grant recipients.
As I write this, President Trump just issued a “30 days to slow the spread” plan. This takes us to the end of our biennium and another month of cancelled society meetings. Please consider alternate ways to collect mites. I will accept mite donations from individuals and if you include your society information I will credit the amount to your society. A reminder that if you give an Honorarium, these will appear in a separate list in the summer WOM.
I must receive society and individual mites, Mission Grant Memorials or Honorariums, and Mission Grant Donations by Saturday, April 25, 2020. Mail takes a minimum of two days. I suggest that you mail your mites and other contributions ASAP to me:

You can also use the DONATE tab above to donate electronically.
Our goal can be met through mite contributions, Mission Grant Memorials, Mission Grant Donations, Joyful Response donations, Thrivent Choice dollars and Prayer Service. If you need more information on any of these contribution types, please contact Irene Mensing, Financial Secretary.
Would you like to give by direct deposit each month? You can sign up for Joyful Response and funds are automatically transferred on the date you specify. How will you help us reach out goal? The forms, which include the mailing address, are available under the Resources tab on the website. There are Society Forms, Zone Forms and Individual Forms.

What is a Mite box?
It’s a cardboard box (3-1/8” x 1-3/4” x 2-1/4”) designed by LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) to receive thank offerings, above and beyond our regular church giving. It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars and checks.
