To God be the Glory!  We are staying on track to meet our $270,000 Mite goal. During the 3^rd quarter of this biennium, $34,599.74 was donated to Mites.  This brings our total Mites for the 2022 – 2024 biennium to $122,840.42.  Thank you for your contributions. 

Amazon Smile is being discontinued as a fund–raising source for charitable organizations as of February 20, 2023.  In mid-January, we were notified by Amazon that they plan to discontinue the Amazon Smile program as it has not grown to create the impact that they had originally hoped.  

Are you aware of the following two ways you can give to mites?

1. Thrivent Choice is a program that enables Thrivent members to choose where Thrivent Financial distributes some of its charitable outreach funds.  Consider directing your Thrivent Choice dollars to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League MN South.  These funds are directed to our mission goal.  The deadline for designating your 2022 dollars is March 31, 2023.  Call Thrivent Financial at 800-847-4836 if you need assistance with this.
2. Joyful Response is a Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) free service that offers an electronic, automated method to make monthly mission contributions directly from your checking or savings account or LCEF Steward account.  An application form is available on our website under Resources and Forms, or you can request one from Carol Henning at finsecretary@gmail.com.  Send the completed form and a voided check or savings deposit form to Carol Henning, at the address below, to sign up for this service.

WHAT IS A MITE BOX?

It's a cardboard box (3-1/8" x 1-3/4" x 2-1/4") designed by LWML to receive thank offerings, above and beyond our regular church giving.  It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, and checks.   

Mite boxes are FREE and can be used by LWML members, their families, and friends.  Ask any LWML member about the box.  Take it home and place it wherever you can feed it: dressing table, office desk, laundry room, kitchen counter, or even the car, etc.
