Mite Update – March 2026
Praise God for His abundant provision and for the generosity He continues to inspire among His people. Through your faithful giving, $13,029.54 was received for mites in February. This brings our biennium total to $243,653.62. We are now $26,346.38 away from reaching our $270,000 goal, which is an average of $13,173.19 per month over the remaining two months. With the mite deadline approaching on April 25, 2026, we lift this need to the Lord with confidence, trusting that He will continue to provide through the joyful gifts of His people.
Please keep our 46 mission grant recipients and the people they serve in your prayers. Ask the Lord to strengthen their ministries and use our mites to share Christ’s love and hope with those in need. Thank you for your generosity and your prayers.
Thrivent members – please consider donating your Thrivent Choice Dollars to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League MN South on the Thrivent website or through your Thrivent Representative. The deadline for designating your 2025 dollars is March 31, 2026. Funds we receive through Thrivent Choice go to mites.
Please send mites, memorials, and other money for the district (except Equalization and Quarterlies) to Carol Henning, Financial Secretary, 1548 Grant St., Jackson, MN 56143. Make checks payable to LWML Minnesota South District. The Report of Contribution forms are available on our mnslwml.org website under Resources. There are different forms for zones, groups, and individual members.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace (1Peter 4:10).

WHAT IS A MITE BOX?
It's a cardboard box (3-1/8" x 1-3/4" x 2-1/4") designed by LWML to receive thank offerings above and beyond our regular church giving. It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, and checks.
Mite boxes are FREE and can be used by LWML members, their families, and friends. Ask any LWML member about the box. Take it home and place it wherever you can feed it: dressing table, office desk, laundry room, kitchen counter, or even the car etc.
