Mite Update —May 2026
Praise the Lord for His abundant blessings! With grateful hearts, we celebrate surpassing our $270,000 mite goal for the 2024–2026 biennium. God has once again provided the resources needed to generously support our mission grants. In April, we received $18,191.95 for mites, bringing our biennium total to $277,202.85. The excess will be carried over to help meet the 2026–2028 biennium mite goal. What a joy to see how the Lord uses our combined gifts to bless people, strengthen ministries, and share the Gospel near and far.
Seventy-five percent of our mite contributions will fund the LWML Minnesota South District’s mission grants. Twenty-five percent of our mite contributions help support 33 LWML national mission grants and a portion of their operating expenses.
Please continue to send mites and memorials for the district to Carol Henning, Financial Secretary, 1548 Grant St., Jackson, MN 56143, until the June 18-20, 2026 District Convention, when the new financial secretary will be elected. Please make checks payable to LWML Minnesota South District. The Report of Contribution forms are available on our website at mnslwml.org under Resources. There are different forms for zones, groups, and individual members.

WHAT IS A MITE BOX?
It's a cardboard box (3-1/8" x 1-3/4" x 2-1/4") designed by LWML to receive thank offerings above and beyond our regular church giving. It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, and checks.
Mite boxes are FREE and can be used by LWML members, their families, and friends. Ask any LWML member about the box. Take it home and place it wherever you can feed it: dressing table, office desk, laundry room, kitchen counter, or even the car etc.
