MITE UPDATE

God is good! We are so blessed to be off to a good start on our 2024-2026 mission goal. In June, our delegates at the 30th Biennial LWML Minnesota South District Convention voted to approve a mission goal of $270,000 for the 2024-2026 biennium. Seventy-five percent of our mites fund the 13 Minnesota South mission grants, and twenty-five percent go toward the 31 national LWML mission grants. With the carryover of $13,128.95 from the 2022-2024 biennium and mites contributed in May and June, our mite total is $37,432.51 as of June 30, 2024. Thank you for supporting our mission grants through mite giving.

As we start the 2024-2026 biennium with new mission grants, please continue to send mites, memorials, and other money for the district (except Equalization and Quarterlies) to Carol Henning, Financial Secretary, 1548 Grant St., Jackson, MN 56143. Make checks payable to LWML Minnesota South District. The Report of Contribution forms, which should accompany any checks, are available under Resources on this website.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God (Hebrews 13:16).

WHAT IS A MITE BOX?

It's a cardboard box (3-1/8" x 1-3/4" x 2-1/4") designed by LWML to receive thank offerings above and beyond our regular church giving. It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, and checks.

Mite boxes are FREE and can be used by LWML members, their families, and friends. Ask any LWML member about the box. Take it home and place it wherever you can feed it: dressing table, office desk, laundry room, kitchen counter, or even the car etc.
