Mite Update —July 2026
At the June LWML Minnesota South District Convention a new mission goal of $272,500 was approved for the 2026-2028 biennium. Thanks be to God for the generous gifts already received during the first two months of the new biennium. In May and June, mites totaled $28,361.63, plus a carryover of $8,684.37 from the previous biennium. As of June 30, 2026 we had a total of $37,046.00 dedicated to mission grants.
Seventy-five percent of our mite contributions will be used to fund the 12 new LWML Minnesota South District mission grants. Twenty-five percent will be sent to national to help support 33 LWML national mission grants and a portion of LWML’s operating expenses. We are deeply grateful for every contribution as our mission grants share the Gospel while helping those in need.
Mary Hemminger was elected as the new financial secretary for the LWML Minnesota South District. Her term runs from June 20, 2026 through the close of the 2030 district convention. Please write checks payable to LWML Minnesota South District and send mites, memorials, endowments, and offerings to:

WHAT IS A MITE BOX?
It's a cardboard box (3-1/8" x 1-3/4" x 2-1/4") designed by LWML to receive thank offerings above and beyond our regular church giving. It holds pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars, and checks.
Mite boxes are FREE and can be used by LWML members, their families, and friends. Ask any LWML member about the box. Take it home and place it wherever you can feed it: dressing table, office desk, laundry room, kitchen counter, or even the car etc.
